springtimeatskidmoreSpringtime at Skidmore takes a look back at a sampling of spring activities and traditions from  Skidmore’s past. Focused primarily from 1916 to the 1960’s, the exhibit is chiefly comprised of yearbooks, programs, and photographs from Scribner Library’s Special Collections Archives. The exhibit focuses on traditional spring events from the past such as May Day, The Annual Horse Show, Junior Prom and Spring Fling Weekend. Some of these traditions fell out of fashion long ago, while others still continue today. Taking a look back at these traditions is a fun way to re-examine the spring semester and how Skidmore students from the past celebrated this time of year!

This exhibit was assembled by Lauren Draus, Library Assistant in Bibliographic Services.

The exhibit will be on display in the cases by the library entrance (1st floor) through mid-April.
