Hoge Building

The Lucy Scribner Library’s on-campus auxiliary shelving unit is housed on the first floor of the Hoge Building. Located a few steps northeast of Harder Hall, Hoge is easily accessed by library staff and open to all Skidmore users for limited hours.

Materials stored in the Hoge Building include:

  • periodicals (journals, magazines, and newspapers) in print and on microfilm and microfiche;
  • all other microfilm and microfiche;
  • select reference titles and books.[Note: “Current periodicals” (from the last year or so) are still shelved on the first floor of the library next to the DVDs.]
The Hoge building is a red brick structure. This picture is of its front door.
