The primary mission of the Interlibrary Loan Department is to support the research needs of the Skidmore College community by borrowing materials which we do not own locally from other academic institutions from across the U.S. and the world.

BOOKS: Books not available through the LUCY catalog can be borrowed from another library. Make requests in the following ways:

ARTICLES: Requests for articles published in journals not currently owned by Skidmore, or from a particular issue not currently available, can be placed in two ways:

THESIS/DISSERTATIONS: These publications may be requested through WorldCat or ILLiad (3-7 day delivery time; limited availability, please supply as much information as possible.) |
BOOK CHAPTERS: If only a chapter of a book is needed, submit the request using ILLiad (1-3 day delivery time, usually in PDF format) |

DVDs, CDs, MAPS, MUSICAL SCORES, LETTERS, NOTES, ETC.: Items in these formats may be requested through WorldCat or ILLiad (3-7 day delivery time; limited availability, please supply as much information as possible when making the request) |
DOCUMENT DELIVERY - HOGE: To access microfilm, microfiche, or journals with "Hoge" location, the Library's on-campus storage facility, submit an ILLiad request (24 hour delivery time on weekdays). Books requests can be submitted directly through the LUCY catalog by clicking on the "Hoge Building Requests" link located to the right in an item record. |
